I have Technomate TM5400 C1+ Super it has conax embed, can I can free stations illustrated on box, TF1 ect without card & what Sat is it on manual no hel p in this
 
I have moved your post to its own thread as the thread you posted in was from 2005 and not really relevant.
Your receiver is patchable but there is not a lot left to view at the moment, if you can get 1W then you can view the Digi TV package but this will only be available for a few more weeks, or months, at best.
 
If you connect the TM up to a PC by rs232 null modem you should be able to use SSSP / WSP to connect to remote cards.
 
TF1 is not available free to air on a digital receiver as far as I know, only analogue and on 5W.

Can I use the USB to update software like you can with Fortec Passion as it seems old fashioned to use RS232 when it has a USB port!

I have a TM3500 (which is by a different manufacturer) and it has RS232 and USB. Initially I thought I had to use the RS232, but the USB loader on that worked fine. Give it a try.
 
Yes, the TM5400 will update via USB. It still won't get you TF1 though.

A dedicated TNT sat box and card from France with a dish on 19E will.
 
Thanks for help I wiil try USB for software updates, I like the ability of recording to USB which can be handy if you see something to capture and not have to wait for the DVD recorder to initilise.
 
If you are looking for patches, for your technomate, just google, Technomate Magic Patches or Darkman patch, you should soon find them, but be careful to use the correct patch for your Technomate version.
