I have the above box with a fault, when its warming up it freezes, the last owner seems to think its the psu board, looking online a certain firmware used to cause a similar problem anyone experienced this with firmware/psu , I know the obvious check for bilging caps,

Also i have a none super in perfect working order would the psu be the same please ?.
 
Hi, it looks like ive found the fault, when its warm it freezes up, I looked what F/W was on it and its 6.88P 2009 :eek:, I thought ok flash the latest phatompatch :), usb doesn't work :(, googles usb problem and it leads me to freezing problem, it turns out to be certain caps on the psu board :), ive installed them before on other boxes so hopefully an easy fix, I will take the top off when I get the chance and have a look and let you know, here is the fix it might help others in the future :).

Hi, ive just taken the top of the box and it looks like five have gone/iffy, I will look what I need and order them.

I had a similar problem a while back on a tm 6800 replaced caps and all was good, how did you get on? ( missed this a month ago when it was posted must pay more attention:-doh)
 
I've not got round to doing it yet but I will do when I have the time I like the older TM boxes shame the newer owns arnt as good
