Hello everyone!
I just unpacked my Technomate TM-5402 M4 to see whether it would improve my sat reception.
It does. But I cannot get the EPG working on BBC or ITV. The instruction booklet just say "Press EPG" EPG comes saying "No EPG for every channel.
Any idae as to what I should do?

A bigger dish might improve reception, or straightening out ( otherwise refining) the one you have.
 
my reception is fine.
EPG works on a less good receiver (even with a weak signal).
On the technomate ,the rest of functions works....it s just EPG which says "no epg"...
I have the instruction booklet ... everything...but EPG!

It might be a faulty tuner, or firmware is out of date

What is the manufacturing date ? serial number may be relevant
 
On Technomate TM-5402 M4 , which firmware , do you have ?

Alas, we've seen this kind of behavior by CH before; expressing a rather hard to comprehend sentence towards someone, without clear explanation.
And when asked for an explanation, no answer is given (as above), or an answer that is hard to comprehend again.

Maybe CH is very skilled and/or knowledgeable in satellite matters, I don't know.
But interactions like these I truly find rather unpleasant.

It was a polite request in English, I understand it is not your first language

I did ask all members to refrain from sending thanks for posts but since you have kicked off on 'their' behalf, a few random images of alerts this past year.

I get these when accessing the site, a mobile with app by my side in which case it will 'ping' at the time sent. After working on these personal 'pings' I then look to provide members with the best information:
in my head,
from personal experience, requiring a check of previous threads that I have long forgotten,
scanning previous tenders thay may not have come to fruition, or simply,
'out there' on the internet.

You may better of course to advise if admin should admin, or moderators should moderate on this forum being one or the other., or perhaps this is not the right thread at all to comment either as one or the other, positive or negative.

I am only being polite in my response, your call.

CH I agree, its a PITA getting a ping and then all it is is a thumbs up or such like(pun):-ohcrap

Now back on topic, did that technomate ever do the epg correctly!! There was patch or some sort phantom but not easy to use. Can you send it back and what were you replacing? 28E is not easy in Spain anymore. What size dish?

But if your handy try this go to here 11778V 27500, FEC 2/3 DVB-S QPSK, its name is ETBG then either do a scan or press epg button but if you get no signal ...:confused

Yes, that was clear. You didn't write why, though.
And when asked why, you didn't answer.
I myself, and I guess many other members as well, had no idea why it was. And why you didn't answer the request for clarification.

That is what I find/found unpleasant. When you ask something (of all the members), and are asked why you are asking it, it is unpleasant when you then ignore that request for an explanation.



The 'alerts' would be so-called push notifications?
I've no problem with those, as I don't get them as you do.
Maybe you can ask staff, to do something about the alerts, in the forum software settings? Oh, you are staff yourself....

BTW. I think it is very good that the forum software allows giving likes. It is better than all people having to write a post, saying "i liked that".

I've no idea what you mean here. Even when I try to imagine this is not written english but spoken english, I haven't got a clue.
