Technomate tm5402 m3 no internet

Techonmate TM-5402 M3, Technomate TM-2600M3 Diseqc HH Motor,
Quad LNB, SKY Dish 750mm

Hi guys having problem connecting to internet using my Technomate 5402 M3, software patch 146p. I'm using ethernet cable and its picking up my address and when I try Youtube it gives me options to pick a video but it never loads tried other internet options but it says network/connection failed, tried different leads same results and tried latest 147p and 138p software still no good .Has anyone got a solution Thank you John
 
Possibly because patch 146p is years old and many of the URL links are totally out-of-date?

Since, AFAIK, there are never going to be any further firmware updates for this receiver, it is a very poor and limiting choice for modern internet TV, and thus you will need a much more modern receiver for anything much "out there".

Large choice of suitable receivers is available and many different ones are used by forum members, but I think most choose ones from brands like Octagon, Edision, AMIKO, etc., which have pretty good, and often regularly updated, firmware.

Internet radio works, Youtube still does not even a modern day search brings up the artist but wont play???

Could the result of the fact that the processor in this receiver is very old & thus very "slow/low powered" when compared with those in modern receivers - and thus it just can't handle the high data rates and processor loads involved in modern video feeds!

Also, the receiver f/w may not include the appropriate processing codecs??

By comparison, internet radio feeds will demand less of the processor, and so can be successfully played.

Support for this receiver ceased several years ago as for YouTube this has not worked on this receiver for over 5 years due to no more TM updates.
