Technomate

My tm 5302 scanned in a data tp on 63w yesterday and my x2 premium showed no signal.

It's incredibly sensitive.. hardware is the same as you get in 5402 and there's hearsay that it's more sensitive than the 5302.

Nice...might just order me one of these.

What would be the difference between the d15 and the f15?

The D15 runs a different processor than the F15 and also incorporates IPTV bit of a gimmick if you ask me :-)

anyway D15 is also cloned as Clarke Tech 4100 & Technomate F3/5 all same hardware

F15 is cloned as Technomate 5402HD, Blade 7000s

Still not found a use for my 5302 yet ...as I can't adapt it to my system ..
Not being able to edit sat positions that are already stored in the Vbox is a MAJOR issue..
No use for me as a DXER on account I dont want to have to use it as a slave box.
Last night I found for the first time Astra 1G ..new sat position manually stored in the Vbox ..
If I was to hook up the 5302 today ..I couldn't even scan it in with the 5302 as there is nothing to lock onto..
1G for me has vanished this morning ..though I know where it is ..cos it's stored in the Vbox.
cest la vie.

hi all talking about technomate 5402HD does a scan with increments from 1 to 32,i would like to know what difference is there with the new 5402HD M2 the only difference I can see on the spec is faster chips,is it more sensitive, quicker scan or any other differences.cheers

AFAIK ..nothing other than greater security ..which in itself creates problems ..
The security being invisible to the user ..designed to prevent clones ..or so I read.

many thanks for that VS

Pulled the trigger and ordered a DR HD D15, can't wait. I could find a use for that 5302 VS, slap it on my circular c band feed....let me know.

Let's just hope the Transatlantic Rowing Team have recovered from their Eastwards exertions! :-deadhorse

Not given up on it yet Costa ..
It does have some useful features..and I live in hopes that a suitable editor surfaces ..eventually..
till then it is useful for setting up dishes and lnbs outside ,,if it stops raining long enough.
cheers mate.

What is annoying about F15's sw versions later than 1.27 is that when there's no lock on the signal, the SNR dB displayed is plainly wrong as it sits in the 2.0dB - 2.9dB range, rather than displaying the real one.

For example, I am getting about 8dB displayed on the C-band transponder on 5W in DVB-S2 8PSk 7/8 awfulness but no lock (probably 9dB would get it) on 1.25. However, the very same transponder is showing between 2.0 to 2.9dB on, say, version 2.00 with the HD skin. Annoying... And I am guessing that the D15 will have the same issue.

I hope not. This will be the first spectrum analyser and db level experience for me so I'm looking forward to it.

I still use the SD firmware on my F15 ..and find it gives comparable accuracy db readings to those got from the TBS card ..
I just wish the analyser worked properly and displayed in Ka ..
Doubt this will ever be fixed..
Not important enough for most users.

I still haven't figured out how to use the spectrum analyser on mine. It just gives me the same bars most of the time :(

If you delete all the transponders on a satellite the Spectrum analyser shows no bars but you can just make out movement at the top of the graph for ku band activity.

Good evening to all. Just keep in mind that receivers clarke tech 4100 hd, dr. hd d15 and technomate f3/5 have a serious, at least i believe so, disadvantage. They have problems with dvb-s2 8psk channels with low symbol rate (especially <2000): constant freezes and glitches despite the good signal quality. You can test them @ eutelsat 3d.

Have you reported this the Technomate ?

I have sent several emails to clarke tech and technomate. No solution till now.

The D15 only shows this problem for a few seconds and then once signal is stable the picture is fine, Well at least on mine anyway
