Hi i just managed to download the latest patch which i think was the one you were referring to and i uploaded the day before yesterday and it is working fine. I was wondering for the future where is gonna be possible to get the updates we might need for the reciver. anyway thank you for the tip

DSR Soft is back up but seems still to be unstable. Took 30 minutes to download a 1.4MB file over a 1MBit line. I am currently designing a Technosat specific site where potentially these updates will be available.

guys, just go to www.dsrsoftware.com and download patch for all technosat, starsat and echosat recievers.

you will need a password. so do some work and go to the first main section of this board. Its called reciever links/software. There is a list a mile long with every link. There under technosat you will find the password and id

7000 series is open market and can not be patched. its embeded with Irdeto and works only for ART, Pehla and showtime arabia. FTA channels are ok. any patch available is software update but only update. Will not open anything else.

In another hand there are two options in STP Link 4 for Technosat downloader program
the first "Read user data" & "Write user data"
Can you please tell us more about this downloader and it's features

:-Welcome1 to the forum Chameau

In many cases this is achieved using a null modem cable between the com port of the pc and the 9 pin D type on the stb and using a software loader on the PC. Each receiver is different thus you will have to research for the exact method for yours unless someone stops by who has the same stb.

No, there is no channel editing software. The only way is to download the data via stb and manually edit using a hex editor. In short, its complicated, long and not worth the trouble.

As for the software: read user data will download what the reciever currently has as a complete channel, stb, loc, and signal data. If you don't know how to read it, don't download. It won't help you.

write factory data: copies new data to the reciever via the software. Again, you don't need this to upgrade the software.

The only thing you need is to:

1. connect via comm1 or 2
2. uncheck maintain user data: or no update will occur
3. click upgrade software and chose the file patch you downloaded (currently 7.17)

Use the upload software that comes in the zip file or a generic one (search the board). I recommend the first option. Technosat bundles their patches with STB loader in the same zip file. A PDF guide is included.
