Telstar 11N - 37.5W

Telstar 11N will slot at 37.5W and operate at least 3 different footprints covering America, Europe, and southern Africa. She will launch in late 2008, and has 39 high power Ku band tp's.


These are not the official maps - they appeared in the November 2008 edition of Tele Satellite magazine. The official maps will be added when they appear.

Has now arrived at the 37.5W slot. We await switch-on of any carriers, in particular any on the European beam.

According to posts on the DS forum intermittent carriers have been noted in the last couple of days.

Looks like a game of hide-and-seek in the offing

Not much happens around that area, IS 903 is the nearest bird to it, mostly feeds. My speccy will find anything though.
