12 608 H is very strange. Sometimes 9,9 dB and other times only 4,5 dB. Sometimes I can't even lock it on my 110 cm dish.
Telstar 12 (the old bird) seems very unstable in strength. MSNBC (12 585 H) also varies a lot in strength during the day and that goes for BYU TV (11 568 H) too. Kirkuk (11 492 V) seems to have left but ist still listed at Lyngsat.

Yeah, same was for me... maybe it is switched off for a repair.

It seems so... no signal for me as well.

You know i think this is a new bird frequencies... those frequencies were more stable last year.

The old Telstar 12 will soon move to 109.2°W. That will end any uncertainty!

"On May 18, 2016, the Satellite Division granted Skynet Satellite Corporation special temporary authority, for a period of 30 days, to conduct Telemetry, Tracking, and Command operations with the Telstar 12 space station necessary to drift the space station from the 15° W.L. orbit allocation to the 109.2° W.L. orbital location using the 11.4505 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 14.499 GHz (Earth-to-space) center frequencies."

This evening 12 608H is very strong, 11,7 dB, and so is 11 568 H, 12,0 dB.
As said before the strength of the old bird varies a lot.
But as said above soon there will only be Telstar 12 Vantage at 15 W.

Indeed, already last Friday the 20th, Telstar 12 has left 15.0°W.
Moving West with 2° per day, arrival at 109.2°W beginning of July.

Now with only Telstar 12 Vantage at 15 W I think the signal ought to be stable during the day but MSNBC at 12 585 H still varies a lot in strength at my place.
I use a 110 cm dish and it should be OK I think. However some days it is just about enough to get a good and stable reception.
The new satellite is just as bad as the old one at my place with the exception of 12 608 H which now is much stronger than before.

Hmm, a bit unexpected but it seems like there are DMC packages tests in 11200-11450 V. No content yet but it says it is CCM and transport. And is it wide beam or some spot one?...
