As reported by King of Sat and Flysat the news feeds for US military overseas on 15.0W are currently FTA. This is a rare chance to see The Pentagon Channel, KFOR Airscan etc. Tuning details are as follows...

Here are some screen caps, note the word 'Secure' on the KFOR snap - not that secure if they are broadcasting FTA.

Still up m8 showing clock on wall.
 
Yes, reminds me of the US surveillance drone pictures over the Balkans a few years back that we watched unencrypted for some days, I believe on this satellite.

That's exactly what it is mate.
 
Just the Airscan clock at the mo, possibly the drone is mapping somewhere like Afghanistan when it's light.

It changed to the clock earlier m8.It was showing aerial pics and telemetry with the word "secure" in the top left corner.Try again today.At 7;55 am the clock is still up and so FTA.
 
So it is carrying surveillance, will need to get up earlier tomorrow.
 
These channels are still in the clear. The Airscan is currently active and they seem very interested in a particular vehicle.

The Pentagon Channel is fta on 13E all the time, and is deathly dull unless you are REALLY into the world of the American War Machine.
 
They're infra-red images now, so supposedly they're over Afghan territory.

Would be cool if the Fox & CNN feeds remained in the clear...

Watching CNN now - and it's amazing how different it is to CNN International.
 
Do we think this is Afghanistan they're doing surveillance over this time rather than Kosovo? So the KFOR name is a misnomer this time? They seem very interested in some farm buildings right now - been looking at them for at least 10 minutes or so now!

It is Thursday night the terrorists might have got paid and gone out celebrating, no illegal activity, no reason to monitor :)
