tenerife south adeje dish size sky uk ?

hi can anyone help please i have a friend who i will be visiting next week in Callao salvaje in adeje south tenerife and would like to know dish size needed for the following
astra 2a north
astra 2a south
astra 2b north
astra 2b south
astra 1n

I can´t give you any firm informtion for Tenerife, but I know that here in Gran Canaria a 1.8m offset dish with good LNB will receive all of 1N, 2A South, 2B South and EB1 fixed. I am not sure about the North beams of 2A and 2B - I have a 2.4m Channel master and it does not pull all of them in.

Lanzarote 150cm offset fairly solid 1N I believe. No 2B North or EB S1.
Certainly varies across the islands.

i do not know what size her dish is (according to her its "a big 1" ) so it could be anything from a 90cm to 10 m lol
anyway she has a dreambox 500 is getting 1n ok bbc"s itv"s etc etc but she is not getting the likes of gold, watch etc
here in fuerte i only have a 1.25 and am getting them channels ok but not 1n.
could it be a faulty lnb she has do you think, i know she has a latest channel setting list
i am off over next week and was thinking of taking an lnb over to try it, but if its just she cant get them channels then i will not bother

Probably not an LNb fault if all else is working.

seems strange that 1n is easier to pick up than astra 2a south or astra 2b north in tenerife and here in fuerte i know i cant get 1n with a 1.25 but i am getting watch from

is it possible that the astra 2a footprint to cover here but not there although she is getting 1n and i am not?

2A South should be no problem, 2B North will be an issue.

I assume from your reference to a Dreambox that she does not have hew own viewing card. Gold and Watch are encrypted channels so it is likely to be something in that area that is causing the problem. However, as far as I know, you are not allowed to discuss that here.

wrong she does have a viewing card and i am on about a signal being received not anything else

Good then we can continue. Is she receiving any encrypted channels ? It may that the card has shut down because it will only receive it's "keep alive" signals when in a Sky Digibox - the Dreambox cannot provide the keep alive

yes she is getting sports movies and other encrypted channels..........i am almost sure it is a signal issue as it comes up no signal

i know what you are saying mate but if it is getting ASTRA 1N then surely it should get uk gold sky one etc,she is also getting all sd movie channels...... as i said here in fuerteventura i can get these channels but have no chance of 1n with my dish
could 1 n footprint be stronger there and astra 2a south and 2b north weaker and vice versa here..... i wouldn't think so but who knows lol

dont forget that its possible in tenerife that all british PBS channels will be gone when 1N is replaced . I advise all my customers not to capital spend on dishs this year .UK Gold can be got on a 60cm (ASTRA 2 south) and EUROBIRD fixed beam on a ´good´ 1M

as i said i am not sure of the dish size or if its prime focus or off set , can you pm me a number so i can call you when i am there to buy an lnb from you if it is that
