Listen Up Thanks For The Memory!

I remember the first USB memory stick that I bought. It must be about ten years ago. It was 512MB and had a ticket price of £98 but I managed to bargain them down to £95.

Back then it wasn't even USB 2. USB 1.1 had a heady 12 Mbps, nowhere near the 480Mbps of the yet to come USB 2, but better than the 1.5 Mbps of USB 1!

My first memory card (Olympus SmartMedia) for my digital camera was 2MB back in 1998. You couldn't even get one photo on it these days...

You guys are just old :p

Er... The first memory card I bought must have been in 2004 which was a 128Mb xD card for my camera. It cost over £100. Along with a 2 megapixel camera, which cost £180.

Ok, ok... I am old too...

I remember just over a decade ago I managed to get a 256MB USB memory stick for the bargain price of £17.99! The senior lecturer on the course I was on was so impressed, he even asked me to get one for him!

Nowadays for the same price or even less you can get a USB memory stick with 64GB of memory.
