About the same time that men wore pants instead of trousers and we awaited the mail delivery instead of the post.

No, no. Those are trousers.

Unless you're wearing shorts or a kilt.

That's been irritating me for some time. Thanks for bringing that up, hate these upstarts entering the Queen's English.

Back in the day, men knew how to dress decently, none of your half-mast shorts blokes wear today.

Vive La France, vive les culottes!

My gripe today is with movies that show a morning scene when a couple wake up after a good night sleep (if they were not lucky) and they kiss each other just as they wake up.
Honestly, is it only me that can smell a breath like a sewer even from the most beautiful actress when she wakes up?
Perhaps my bad eye sight was compensated with a better sense of smell, but why oh why they have to be such foul smells?
Anyway, Hollywood, do the right thing next time and send them to wash their teeth first.

Anybody else here loath the current trends of fast cuts in programmes. Im watching a dvd of a rock concert - Asia Live In Plovdiv. The director must be a young knob ead as the average length of any shot during the songs is about 3 seconds.

WHY??? The music & the performers are the interesting bit. Not the alleged skills of the editor/director. All the fast cuts and power zooms do to me is make me feel queasy.

It annoys me as well. I usually defocus my eyes and concentrate on the sound instead. Either that or switch off.

Who in the world has the guts to tell their wife (or significant other) to go brush her teeth before you give her the first morning wake-up kiss............You would need some good makeup to cover that black eye.

The younger kids have no idea how a music concert should be shown.

So they make all of them in to a contender for some sort of prize!

This works both ways.
But now that you mention it, no wonder my sight has gone worse.
