The 'best' satellites??

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of planning my system..

I've got a fixed dish installed on 19.2e..

And I plan to have a dish on 13e, and a dish on 1w (for hacked DigiTV :D)

I want to have one further fixed dish (80cm).. and I'm wondering what to point it at..

Ideas are Hispasat, Eutelsat or Badr or Eurobird 9e?

I don't mind too much.. I want to have a nice variety, maybe pick up some feeds, different languages, maybe some adult entertainment late at night ;) and maybe some FTA sport.

I've had a look on the digitalsat/lyngsat websites, so I know 'what channels' are available but I don't know what they carry.. so all recommendations welcome :D
 
Hi dv, if I were to have a fourth dish up, based on what you already have, I'd have a motor...lol :D :D

no, I'd park the fourth at 26e for Mbc films :)

It might not be worth your while setting up a dish for DigiTV as, I believe they are in the process of a card swap. Then, its lights out O-no
 
Can't have a motor.. multiple reasons, but one being cost (£400 install + £120 for dish, motor) - and the other being no decent location. Due to the strange dimensions of the house, there is no one central decent vantage point.. the dishes pointing at different satellites have to be on different walls.

That is interesting about digitv.. Are they likely to be switching to anything which isn't broken, or is it definetly lights out permanently? When are they switching?

MBC films on 26e you say? Are they in English? Thx :) If there is a decent film channel on 26e then that clinches the deal!

Edit: Also.. would Badr 4/6 work on an 80cm dish? I've been looking on a footprint chart and they recommend 1 metere absolute minimum :s
