Not just the UK, this blast from the arctic is going to mess with Western Europe as well, there is about to be serious blizzards across the Baltics going south.

So post reports and images of how the end of April is likely to disrupt your plants, travel and satellite reception.

I was wearing shorts & tshirst whilst pottering in the garden yesterday. Today there have been snow flurries & several sharp hail showers :(
 
We've got three weeks in Spain coming up soon. Should be after the current cold snap has passed.

Well looks like I may have timed my purchase of a little old RAV4 4x4 runaround with Mud and Snow tyres fitted right.:)
 
Had hailstone this evening and now a sharp frost on the cars, my poor sunflowers are doomed

Mine went into the shed last night.
Just as well looking at the weather station it is 1.4C in the greenhouse just now.Probably the same in the cold frame

I was syphoning fuel into one of my cars yesterday evening when it started raining. Not pleasant at all.
 
My sunflowers stay in the greenhouse for the duration. I have had one from the same packet that's been growing outside since it was a seedling, so we'll see see how hardy this lot are. Seems fine at present, after an overnight low of just above freezing.
Colder tonight I think, so it'll be a test of survival.
 
The broad bean troughs are off the roof and now in the bathroom.

Looking for something to cover up the strawberry plants.
 
I was out in the shed at about 6am this morning making my POS petrol generator less of a POS, it was cold out there for sure, but, I had my Aladdin paraffin heater to keep my right leg warm, there was some minor frozen precipitation falling though at about 10am, but other that that, nothing really happened, it's just cold, was meant to be tanking down with rain too but that hasn't happened so far...
 
Gonna take a chance and leave my 4 new blueberry shrubs ouside..
Not cos I'm too lazy to bring em indoors ..
But I want to harden them off ..
Since they will spend the rest of their lives outdoors..

We had: snow, rain, hail, sleet, sunshine, wind... basically all seasons in a matter of hours.
 
It has been nice today cold and sunny, in fact it has been so sunny I was gobstruck to see that my date palm kernel has germinated picture to follow

Since the cold snap appears to be over (as well as the dry one) the beans have gone back onto the roof.

They've been in the bathroom for a week, so they've seen my flesh.
