I "get" the reference - "God (whomsoever he might be) help us all" if anything like that should ever come to exist :(
PS: Don't think that'l happen in my/our lifetimes:-clap ("Hopefully":))

But it does "beg the question" as to what is "out there" that would threaten "us here on Earth" - not fantastical "invading monsters" (some of the Marvel "films", Independence Day, etc.), but "naturally occurring phenomena" about which we know not anything (yet!)?

OTOH, we'll probably do "the job" of eliminating ourselves a lo....ng time before we would ever have to face anything like that:rolleyes:

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

More lumps of rock awaiting warp speed travellers.

Navigational mapping of space is going to need a lot of work, currently mankind has trouble spotting a 100m asteroid orbiting this planet.

There's more than one 'moon' orbiting Earth

That's always somewhat "worried" me as I sat, in my imagination, in the Enterprise (choose your own version!) as it headed for a galaxy "far, far away" (to add just a little more "variety" to the mix!):-rofl2

There is certainly nothing that can be done currently to detect pebble sized objects out there, the kinetic energy released when hitting a stationary 10 gram mass at the speeds New Horizons is barrelling through the Kuiper Belt at is around 1MJ, which another website converts to absorping all the energy, (ie. stopping dead) a 3 tonne mass travellng at 100MPH.
