The difference between R & L polarizations & V & H polarizations

Some satellites (ex. Intelsat 10-02@1° West) have two groups of frequencies, one with V & H polarizations & the other group with R & L polarizations.
How to receive the ones with R & L polarizations?:cool:
 
Depends on which frequency band they are transmitting on.

Search for 'dielectric plate'
 
That would be C-band, so you'd need a biggish dish ( 6 to 8ft at a guess from the footprints), and a C-band circular polarisedLNB.

My location is inside the satellite's footprint and my dish size is 1.8 meters.
 
I think you need to post a couple of pictures , one of the back of the dish, and a good one of the front.
