The Final VC10 touches down.

The final Vickers VC10 ZA147 tanker landed today at Bruntingthorpe Airfield today. Yesterday ZA150 landed at Dunsfold Park for a museum. The landing today brings to an end of a successful type of airliner and military type of 50 years. Todays flight consisted of leaving Brize Norton, a couple of farewell circuits,off to Birmingham Airport for a touch and go , then over to us at Bruntingthorpe for 2 circuits and a landing. Today Bruntingthorpe Airfield was opened for the public especially for this event and i thank them for allowing photos to be taken.

I went by XR808, on its fuselage it they had painted 50 years of service,1962-2012.
