The Likely Lads actor Rodney Bewes dies

Used to really enjoy The Likely Lads comedy series when I too were a lad. And Harry Worth, Terry & June and their ilk.

Coincidentally, I've just been listening to Thelma (Bridget Forsyth) during "Ed Reardon's Week" on Radio 4.

Laminas 1.2M fibre dish with an IBU, on a Clarke Tech USALS motor, covering 57E - 24.5W to an Octagon SX88. Displayed on a 20" Dyon LED TV.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.
Free Sat V8 meter. Sony Bravia 46" LCD, Sony BluRay and Home Cinema.

Always had a soft spot for 'The Likely Lads', mainly because of my North East roots. Another part of my youth fades away....RIP Rodney..

It was a rare case of a sequel surpassing the original when he appeared in "Whatever Happened...". A great series.

Curiously The Likely Lads was never filmed in Yorkshire, but in Willesden.

Harry Worth was the longest running comedy at the time, some 100 episodes.
