The Medusa Touch

Just been watching our new dvd of The Medusa Touch. (Carol bought it for me to replace the ropey 20 year old video tape thats been more or less played to destruction).

Its a fabulous film all about the hunt for the attacker of a man who can cause destruction and devastation on a local or global scale. Its beautifully acted starring Richard Burton & Lee Remick. (Both sadly long dead)

I first saw it about 25 years ago, late one night. I caught the first few minutes of it whilst channel hopping, was absolutely entranced and sat up until the early hours.

Well worth buying if you have ever seen the film in the past

Haven't seen it lately, but anything with Lee Remick in is a must for me. A great if underrated actress, sadly missed. Try and catch her performance in Days Of Wine And Roses, with Jack Lemmon.

Well worth getting hold of a copy Rolf - its a a tense thriller. The technology and the cars are a bit dated but it really is a bloody brilliant film. The dvd copy is so much sharper than our dreadful 20 year old video copy :-worship

If you have seen it there are two famous scenes - without giving too much away the incidents involving the 747 and the climax at the cathedral.

Which was on a couple of nights ago (very late though). Brilliant portrayal of alcohol and its effects.
