Zurich ,on last place.i cannot belive this..!

I wonder where they buy their eggs, rice and washing machines from. In the current economic climate, people who live in the real world, shop around. You would buy rice and eggs where you consider them to be reasonably priced, not from either a small corner shop where the owner can't discount because of his overheads or an upmarket store which caters for clients with gourmet taste and an income to match. A majority of people will shop for a washing machine on line and search out the best deal, not just walk into the nearest supplier and choose one.

It just goes to show, if you are selective with your statisitical results, you can make them prove anything.

Here you can get a 3 course meal with a side salad, bread and a bottle of wine, or some other drink for 8.50€. Plenty of other resturants around (for tourists) where that just buys one drink, or one course of really poor food. One of the give aways here is if the menu has photos. These are for tourists, so they can look & point, rather than read & speak. Normally high prices & low quality go hand in hand in these places.

Yes Huevos, I took my stepdaughter and her boyfriend out for a meal last Monday evening. We ended up in a local bar, had steak and fries, cheese with a baguette and then a dessert, plus drinks with the meal for less than 30 Euro's.

You have to wonder just which demographic the original article was aimed at. Was it their servants who were doing the shopping?
