the relation between distance from beam and dish size

i noticed that for every 150 kilometer, dish size must be 15 cm bigger.
for example if you are 450 kilometer far from final beam, your dish size must be 145 cm.
i suppose that with 100 cm dish, all channels can be received in final zone.

Its not as simple as that unfortunately - in extreme fringe reception areas you can get peaks & troughs in the signal - often over just a few miles caused by minute imperfections in the transmission dishes on the satellites and constructive / destructive interference of the signals caused by the beam shaping on the craft.

When the Astra 2 UK beams started coming into service the east coast of Spain could get the UK services with a fairly normal sized dish (around 1.5m in many places) but the south coast of Spain around Gibraltar had no signals whatsoever even with a 5m dish as they were in a null area.
