The Satellite Arc (updated 2011)

First of all, credit to Robbo for the original idea in this thread: http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/dish-setup-guides-information-threads-faqs/117335-satellite-arc.html, but I've created an updated diagram of the satellite arc (using Visio). Its based on the geostationary satellites visible from the UK, so many of the users on this site might appreciate this.

If you've got a non-motorised dish, I've also added the LNB skew angle below the arc. I've done it just for interest, so I've added a list of pending DTH satellite launches too. And it makes a useful little poster for the shack/den (or wherever you hide from SWMBO).

I've created it from other sites like Lyngsat, n2yo etc. If anyone spots any errors (one or two of the Intelsats may be defunkt or relocated), or if I've missed any sats out, let me know and I'll gladly update it.

Maybe - the elevation will be about 5 degrees above the horizon.

You need a good view out to the southeast with no tall building, trees, hills etc to stand any chance. Also you wont get anything only on the South Africa beam, so you can forget the SABC channels
