I'm not the person to ask.. I'm infuriated at the level they accepted for HD .. I can't watch it without seeing all the flaws ... unless nothing moves, it's OK then..

To me watching any HD stb / flat screen combo is like scrapping finger nails on a blackboard and I laugh at the sales cr@p about 'sitting further and further back' ... I have a background in the video studio- production side and when SD originally came out it absolutely infuriated me the level they accepted for any of the mediums.... broadcast or recorded. We worked in high speed iconic graphics... exactly what digital really struggles to handle. I have never liked the lossy route.. including Jpeg... Mpeg2 just used that and added more lossy to it and they gave up on the original HD version (Mpeg3) because affordable processing power couldn't deal with what they were trying to do at the time (it still can't) and when mpeg4 was finalised I had hoped it was more like what SD should have been... it wasn't ... unless nothing moves... If I watch a soccer match with mates and they are all watching the footy .. I'm watching the digital flaws and wincing every time it digitally bottle necks or the pitch turns to foggy pea soup...

But that's just me... best not know too much or you'll just see all the flaws....

Anyway.. Have a look at the Technomate HD stuff ... at least they have a known very sensitive tuner...

I only remember the latest European Champioship I watched some matches on ORF1 HD and I remained speechless:)

PS Small update: I wanted to risk a bit and by remote control I moved the dish to 53EST and I got it without touching the wall :-rofl2 ( 1 cm !!!)
The signal ? On some tp's 97%/92%:toke:

Who needs a dish pointer expert? :p:p:p

@pedro2000uk and @satelliteman

Why did I have to meet you 2:)? Even when I (think) am sure about something immediately you put me in doubt;)

So what do you advice me now? Technomate or Clarke Tech?
I remind you that I got a diablo 2.3 (perfect with Clarke Tech) and almost every month a new firmwere is released for CT:toke:

There is another issue.. .... the TM's new 'super' versions and their 'bug' fixes (and extra features) ... do the latest CT 5000's have them... I think it's worth making sure they do.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about TM super bugs and I would like to correct what I said earlier : by firmware I meant EMU's and softcam's.
I don't think TM's have that;)
