The sexiest motorized system?

Best of luck with that ... if you don't get it we've a box of tricks to get that one.

All the best ..

I just would like to let you know that I use channel settings (in USALS) prepared by a good Italian Team. Probably that's also the reason why. On the other hand this problem occures only for 26E (26+25.6E)...all the others are OK eg inside 7W (Nilesat) there is also 8W

Hola Pedro,

Yday I tried everything without success:mad:. I start to think about the NOT perfect alignment because adding 12192 h 16200 (Yemen etc) I don't get any signal...not even with micro-movements.

Wish you all a healthy 2009!

If I was doing it on a Penta 85.. I'd concentrate on getting the whole arc absolutely 100% first and ignore 26e... and at the same time establish on another satellite's medium strength beam, if the focal length is at it's maximum for the particular lnb or would it gain nearer or further away than the adjustment allows and consider a mod to allow that..

The stb's sensitivity is the next issue.. The TM5200 that Satelliteman uses (and here) are very sensitive ..

cables / connectors etc.. all have to be 100%..

also how the BADR4 beam is there .. might be a bit different...

then I'd go for 26e..

yes, there's not much adjustment in it's holder for f/length on the Penta, need to make sure your tracking arc ok. High quality cable termination is also important as mentioned :)

@Pedro+satelliteman

I will double check the cable (from LNB to the motor) which I just replaced last week. If I remember well the connector under the motor was larger than the cable. But why then do I have a strong signal everywhere from 45est to 45 west?
I'm talking about on an average of 90% quantity and 90% quality :-) Didn't I do a good job? :-)

Sounds like you did a good job, if you go round the arc and do the push the dish up/down/left/right thing and it only goes down, then I'd leave that and carry on with the rest...

Thanks but I will give it a try to move it a bit down & up also because on 42est I have an excellent signal (97%-97%) but I am missing NTV spor:mad:

SAT mysteries :toke:

The aforementioned channel is on the East beam, 11.054h, not receiable in West Europe.

Yes thanks Pedro, I'd just searched a few posts back and found out Lauro was in the Netherlands; looks like 120cm - 150cm for East although have seen some reports of East beam Tps being received just :)

I know SM.. I saw your edit afterwards... at least you stop someone messing with an arc that's probably OK.

Did that on 42e once... back in the early switchover days... used to use analogue channels to get an arc (forgot how well that used to work) anyway, that was the day ATV on 42e decided to .. er switch off their analogue on the west beam ... just as I carried a dish up the ladder.... perfect arc then found 42e wasn't there .. I was up and down that ladder cursing #?*! and really screwed that arc up before noticing that ATV analogue switch off......:-rofl2

Hello my dear Pedro and Satelliteman,

I would like to share with you some achievements.:)

On 26E it is possible to watch 12184 (sheba-yamania-el eman-yement tv)
and 125424 (youth sport-ktv ch1-kuwait sport etc). ;););)
That was possibile after micro movements by remote control to West in Disecq (not in USALS). It looks like 23.8E is disturbing 25.6E. How about a blind search of 23.8E?

Since I installed the Penta I could see for few seconds NTV Spor on 42E:) which means it is possible to get it here in NL but it means also the arc is OK:toke:

Thanks in advance for your considerations/advices.

P.S. I noticed on 9E with signal 97%-97% I can't get

12034.00MHz, pol.V SR:27500 FEC:2/3 SID:30 PID:752 and
12073.00MHz, pol.V SR:27500 FEC:2/3 SID:1 PID:272

Do you know why? Do you get them?

There are some FTA channels in HD:)

See U soon;)

yes they are DVB-S2.
Not got an HD receiver so receive nothing on those TP's.

Very glad to hear you've started to nail 26e.. good demonstration of what I've often said about still using diseqc 1.2 - (or 36v) ...it's better for fine motor control on weak sats etc..

Kuwait 2 isn't bad for a start... it is usually slightly east of say Dubai One / MBC.. on an 85 it's worth having 2 or even 3 positions for 26e.

OH... if you have to move too much off 26e then check your arc for that on all sats.. usually means that either the dish is out on the elephant's trunk or worse .. the motor is out very slighty on the pole... you should get the 2nd fixed - the first too ...but you can cheat and alter your position slightly to nudge it a bit east or west ..

and yes.. those tps on 9e are HD / DVB-S2 - 8PSK (and conax/crypto).. so unless your stb has that (HD basically) then you can forget them... as well as HD there are a few DVB-S2 SD channels on the arc too like FOX Movies on 53e... still catch us out.

Thanks m8's but I express myself wrongly: I don't get any signal at all about the below frequencies. It looks like the receiver does not read them

12034.00MHz, pol.V SR:27500 FEC:2/3 SID:30 PID:752 and
12073.00MHz, pol.V SR:27500 FEC:2/3 SID:1 PID:272

PS According to your knowledge, who performs better betwen Invacom SNH-031 twin 0.3dB and a single one?

the stb might not see/ scan S2 stuff.. some receivers don't or even see/ scan certain SR rates etc.....

I think Invacom does well on bigger dishes particularly the quad which has a very good reputation on big dishes on feint sats like 7w from here or 28e from S. Spain etc..

The build quality of the Invacom is like a pro product compared to cheap lnbfs, but sometimes you can get a cheap lnbf that does well or does on a particular dish.

Also, all LNBs vary across the ku frequency too so you can find an LNB that peaks at say around 11919h (MBCs tp on 26e) but is OK over the rest of KU band as well.

Didn't think the C-Tech 2100 is DVB-S2 / MPEG-4 compatable, so as said the transponders won't be received or scanned.

My mistake earlier, you have a C-Tech DiSEqC Motor HH390 according to your profile, it's identical to dark motor.. more clones than you can think of :-worship, lol.......

You both are simply great !!!

Many many thanks!!!

Last question? Why then the receiver gets the BBC HD signal e some other HD channels? Are they with a better quality?
