A local guy has built an observatory for his telescope inside a garden shed. The roof slides back for a view of the sky. This got me thinking. Could be useful if you have an oversized dish that needs to be hidden most of the time. Put the dish in the shed and roll back the roof when you want to watch TV. :-rofl2

Now I DO like that. Trouble is that it would quickly get filled up with hoses, rakes, spades and similar stuff if I had one!
 
Is it still a shed if it's attached to the house?

Otherwise I'd agree.
 
Why roll back the roof for a dish, use plexiglass as a roof, it's transparent to RF, you can even get it in brown, we use it to replace window glass in new windows for in-room satellite dishes.

The new thermal limiting and IR/UV limiting window glass in some of the dual pane windows attenuates the signals from the satellites, making a frame and putting plexiglass in place works wonders.
 
Yes but that's not as cool as the grand reveal of a moving roof.
