A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Just got in, turned on the television to canned laughter, the BBC1 tv guide states 'Sitcom. Gerald and his H+S team identify an irregular speed bump on the streets of Baselricky. At home, he contends with bathroom hoggers'

Why is it on BBC1 ?

Why is it on after the watershed ?

Will it improve ?

(Could it get worse ?)

Turgid. Is this written by the same Ben Elton who did Blackadder?

It's got universally slammed by the newspaper TV critics and the trailer that I saw was enough to put me off. For once, I'm grateful I'm an hour ahead of UK time...... and to answer CH's query, yes I think it really could get worse....

Why is it on at all?

I was unlucky enough to accidentally catch a few minutes of a scene set in toilet. Calling it toilet humour is doing toilets an injustice.

I turned it off shortly after I posted as it clearly wasn't going to improve.

If it really is Ben Elton wot wrote it then the money from the Queen stuff has eaten his creativity

That is quite a critical review.

I am struggling to think of the last decent sitcom the BBC made, indeed the only funny British sitcom I can think of still being made is Peep show on Channel 4.

Yeah. Who doesn't fancy Dobby?

I'll close the door on my way out.

Next installment just starting, will report back if it has improved

(Not Going Out last Friday was a good as the rest of the series btw)

I gave it a good eight minutes - under extreme duress after three - then decided to go for a random search on Youtube.

Found this on the second go.
