Hi

My Pace Sky Box is not yet aligned to astra, instead it's aligned to Hotbird.

The techinician will be aligned it today, in the afternoon, but even in hotbird I can't watch any channel... the message "there is a technical fault with this channel" appear when I try to watch a channel.. i can only see about 10 seconds of it and then disapperas...

Is this normal? Will I have to aligned it to astra first ?

Thanks

The box will not work on hotbird, apart from if you use the add channels function and use the other channels function to watch them.

Aslo you can't change the SR as this is defaulted to 22.000 which is standard for SKY's broadcasting.

Your Pace box is only designed for use on Astra2A-B-and D(28.2E), and Eurobird1(28.5E). It is possible to use it for other satellites, but you will have to go into the installers menu and re-set the default transponder,to one that is transmitting from the satellite you want. There arent all that many FTA channels using Skys 2 symbol rates(22000 and 27500).It isnt worth the effort trying to use a Sky box for any other satellite other than Astra2.

Hi guys...
I have this error too (there is a technical fault with this channel )and it's only lately that it has happened...would a system reset help?...It's only happened since I took my card out from my Humax HDCI 2000 and placed it back into the Pace box....could it have missed an update?..the error is happening mainly on S*Y 1,2,3 and some of the UKTV channels..any help appreciated as usual...
cheers

Yes,unplugging the box from mains for a few mins should fix your problem..

There have been some changes in the Sky Guide recently, this is the probably the cause, assuming the channels were receivable on the Humax. The receiver should right itself in time, but you could speed this up by re-booting (unplugging the box).
