Thinking about buying a TD

Hi all
I'm starting to get bored with my Kaon 570.
I am looking at getting a TD but would like to ask some questions.

My Kaon does not need a card to be able to watch the ;) "spanish channels" and when things change I just hook it up to my pc via a serial cable and upload new firmware

Is this the same for the TD?

If the TD can take special firmware will the PVR side of things still work? Or will the PVR only work with official firmware

Hi dbase

With an internet connection to the TD ( LAN cable to PC or via a router), key updates are possible through the menu, or you can add your own using ftp (file transfer protocol) via one of the TD tools available.

PVR works with official or unofficial images.

So Llew, when will you convert to Dreambox like i did? :D

There is nothing except the original i have now learned the hard way. :-DOH!
