Been a member for over 2 years & this is my first post SORRY but i had a lot of reading to do first to get it right lol.
So This is my satellite dish all set for winter,
After the installer finished putting the dish up & lined every thing up (photos 1 & 2),
I thought i would tidy the cables up a bit & add a bit more strength to it
as me being a fisherman i no what damage wind can do lol
So i added another K bracket (photo 3) to make the whole setup stronger as it looked a bit week lol &
with it being on 24" T&K brackets there was still a bit of movement on the dish on a windy day
so i decided to add 4 wire Strainers/tensioners to scaffolding pole & also end caps to the scaffolding poll to stop the whistling
(photos 3 & 4) i think it should get through winter OK now lol,
I no its i bit over kill but when you are stuck out at sea in a Gail force 9 or 10 all i could think about is where the dish would end up
lol.
