To be fair when I was about 10 or so, my Aunty moved house and left her old Sky Analogue dish and her box and let me and my Dad take it down. Had no idea where the satellites were, which channels and just thought we could put it up, swing it round and get free Premier League football, and maybe a bit of Cartoon Network. Had it all wired into my room and kept getting flashes of what was definately Astra 1 and probably Hotbird. By the time I shouted stop it was too late and we lost the signal. Never got Hotbird locked fully but had Astra and all the German channels for the day, which I was happy to watch but my Dad wasn't. We never found any sports channels either, might have if we'd retuned the box, as it was still set up for Sky. We found out through a newspaper article the next day that Sky had switched off their analogue service the year before and we never noticed! So, despite spending all day and me enjoying these new channels the dish was took down. Luckily, a few years later, when the Lidls boxes started coming in, I knew we had no chance of getting any kind of free Sky or football so stopped my Dad going out and buying one. Almost 10 years later, and I basically have the same system in my room! Still see people going into Lidls talking about free Sky mind!
