Thompson HD and ITV HD

Hi, are there any known problems with the Thomson HD boxes and ITV HD? I only ask as I now have two of these connected (both with professionally rebuilt power supplies) and both recently had ITV HD with sound and a blue screen. A full reboot cleared this, but is this a one off or a problem likely to persist?

I've got a Thomson HD and it has no problems with the new ITV HD on the EPG, must've been a one off. :)

It does however occasionally show no signal, which a reboot cures, guess I'll be going down the power supply repair road myself soon. :)

definately worth doing. Thomson box is good (apart from the rubbish power supply - what were they thinking!). You will probably see an improvement in pic quality as well. I am lucky to have a father who is a retired radio and tv designer, so guess who does all my soldering!
 
Have a Thomson skyHD receiver also with the occasional reboot required. Often shuts down during sky news interactive. Not sure if that's a software bug or not. I may well do my own repair as have all the kit here.
 
Ah, from satelliteman's post, it would appear that I have a friend who does soldering as well. ;) My Dad was and electronics/TV engineer and I was toatally spoiled when it came to having things repaired, didn't matter what it was, if it was electronic, he could repair it. :)
 
LOL, yes were get them both done at the same time. Mines very occasional at the moment so maybe a while before she fails altogether.
 
Guys, do get them done before they fail, as if they fail totally they can knock out some expensive components.
