Thomson video sender

Just had SKY+ installed and wanted to setup a video sender for a second TV. I bought a Thomson sender now sending a signal from the remote doesn't work, i get a picture and sound but it won't change the channels. HELP !!! )(-red
 
Do you have the relay unit pointing at the digibox IR sensor?
 
Yes i have attached the sensor to the front panel of the sky+ box where it says remote and there is a red light that flashes when you use the remote. It just dosn't seem to relay the signal from the receiver.
I had another sender attached originally and it was working fine then it stopped for no reason the new thomson sender is the third type i have tried.
 
I may perhaps be a distance problem, as the signal is going in the opposite direction, have you tried moving the remote unit closer to the main unit to see if the decreased distance allows it to work?
 
I can't get it any closer as it is in a bedroom upstairs, the picture and sound is perfect so i don't think the distance is a problem. I think it may be the signal that is coming from the remote isn't regisering with the transmitter. I think i will try and contact Thomson and see if they know of any issues Thanks for your help.
