There is still 2 HD transponders left on the Thor5 T2 beam and all the transponders of the Thor5 T1 Nordic beam is occupied. There is also DVB-S transponders active on Thor5 T2 beam.

UPC is moving from 19.2E to 0.8w and will need 7 transponders from day one.

The three HD transponders moving from Thor5 T2 to Thor6 T1 seems only to carry HD channel versions that is intended for Scandinavian market only.

UPC will probably use the Thor6 K2 beam. This beam do not cover Scandinavia and can not be used by Canal Digital Nordics. Thor5 T2 transponders also covers the UPC aerea (central & eastern Europe). . I guess Thor5 T2 will mainly be used for TV channels that require European coverage. Some of the HDTV channels like History HD,Discovery HD and Animal Planet HD on Thor5 T2 seems to be intended for central and eastern Europe too (subtitles and audio languages for CEE).

What size u think we ll need for the verticals at least.
Tha me kremasei h gynaika mou (Eirena apo norbhgia)

there's no reception in northern Greece even with 2.4m dish of thor6 k1 beam , so we have to wait to see the channels of k2 beam

The beauty of HD channels on THOR is that they use Conax encoding, which is much more c/s friendly and low speed connection tolerant than NDS or other encodings, in which these channels are available elsewhere. And also, I don't know any other european sat with rush hd/silver hd channels on it.

Also saw the fire in the fireplace recently but I think it was on Eutelsat W2, I am not sure.

Yes I’m receiving it too.

The K2 beam 11.864 28000 7/8 is coming in strong here.

Only two radio stations are FTA, P4 and Radio Norge.

I live in south devon and iam getting a signal of 96% in heavy rain from this transponder with a 1.2 m dish,I could only get 78% from the k1 beam and now its down to 73% now its raining

As Adonis1 says, nothing from Thor 6 with 2.4m in North Western Greece! Only with 3m and special feedhorn with mecanical polariser we have a reception report from Northern Greece
