My Satellite Setup

I've noticed that when viewing a thread each post contains quite a lot of blank space. A lot of this is due to the "satellite setup" section of posters' profiles - this can easily run to a dozen or so lines, so that the content itself only takes up 20% or so of the post. *For me* this makes reading the threads more awkward than it should be - I can't get more than a couple of messages on the screen at the same time, and I hate wearing out my scrolling finger :)

Would it be possible to tweak the CSS so that the user information box is slightly wider? This would mean that the "satellite setup" information could be fitted into fewer lines. I've tried fiddling with Stylish under Firefox to tweak the CSS myself but my results weren't very good. I'm aware that the layout can't be changed just to suit individual users, so what do the rest of you think? Am I being overly picky? :)
 
I know what you mean. It doesn't bother me really and not something I noticed. Another thing would be to limit the satellite setup to a certain number of characters... or remove the "trophy points" line. Don't think it's useful.

or maybe satellite setup could go into the signature (which almost nobody uses)?
 
I'm not even sure what they are or how one gains Trophy Points so I'm in agreement to their disappearance.

Signature does - if you have one: Look at PaulR's above, and at mine, for example.

Comes under the text of any Post, separated by a faint line of dashes.
 
Just altered mine.....another vote for deleting 'trophy points' as well....

Right then - I must be blocking it somehow, but can't see how :(

Edit: under "Browsing preferences" - "Show people's signatures with their messages" :)
 
Blimey, if we all did this, the Astra 2E thread would only be five pages long....:-rofl2
