I have quite a big problem with HD delay.

We have gone to a lot of expense installing new TV's etc to a Bar to get ITV HD for the world cup (we can't get BBC HD as on Vertical) and all working OK BUT there is about a 2 second delay between normal ITV & the HD version. This would be great if the HD was ahead but its not. There are other bars nearby and any delay is a huge problem as if a goal is scored then the other bars will cheer 2 seconds before the HD viewers get to see it. I already knew there was a delay on all HDchannels but not this bad.

I know & understand that the delays are probably in the processing of signals but surely they could try and sync them up.
There are some significant delays between the non HD versions of ITV anyway but 2 seconds is too bad for a bar.

Any comments or suggestions?

Perhaps some bad press along the line of "HD customers are the last to know England win the world cup"

Thanks Guys

You are not going to get around the delay so find whichever SD version has the best picture quality & use that instead. West Country on 10832H has a nice high bit rate as it feeds the local transmitters.
