Time for some new foil underpants - magnetic pole variations

The problem with foil underpants is that when the magnetic Poles flip, instead of clinging on, they'll be blown off.

Ooooh, nasty.

Ooooh, nasty.
Some would appreciate being blown off

Maybe all these electric cars, that the govt are pushing as the solution, are affecting the earth's magnetic field, like there's only so much magnetism to go around.

Let's face it, when were out politicians ever wrong about environmental issues?

Anyone like to buy my diesel car?

..... Or maybe the N and S poles are just fed up of being cold and do are heading for the Equator. Maybe that's why the ice caps are melting. ... And Africa and Mexico need to start wrapping up warm.

I just oreded a new reverse direction compass, this way I'm ready.....And I have an RFI shielding suit,(for working on big transmitters) that may work better as it covers from head to toe.

It´s nice to have a GPS ready

That hot iron sloshing around under our feet means the magnetic declination at Greenwich UK is now close to true North. For my location, it's 0° 7'

Check yours -

In some locations east of London, it's zero.

One can travel a long way 'East' of London, roughly the whole way round the planet.

At what place in the world would you be standing if everything was North of you?

Somewhere very cold...

If you were standing then your body would still be southward

Not, I think, if I were standing exactly at the South Pole (thus "T'other end of the World") - "everywhere" around me that I could look would be to the North!!! :D

Edited: unless, of course, one chooses to differentiate between the geographical and magnetic poles - and in this case the latter would thus likely be the more appropriate place to "be"!
