Help Required Tivusat HD Channels

I have the CAM with the Card

Have you selected the cam, usually by pressing the Blue Button, on your receivers remote?
A quick search states the following:
When you press the blue button do you see any information?
If I remember correctly you used to have the chip facing upwards, but it's been a long time since I used cams, and cards, when we used to be able to program both, using card/cam programmers.
If it still doesn't work you might have to contact your supplier, for more information.

- Insert the smart card into the appropriate slot of the decoder (or into the Cam) and tune it on one of the platform’s channels (e.g. Rai 1 HD, Canale 5 HD).

So, with an official Tivusat-CAM and gold card,
- Codice fiscale can be "generated" by a codice fiscale generator on the internet, I've heard;
- An italian adress can be found on Google Maps,
- From what I've heard, you must allow to receive emails by Tivusat, to be able to complete the activation via internet.
I don't know if this procedure is legally allowed, though.

Absolutely not. Totally illegal!
In Italy, Codice Fiscale is your tax code registered with tax authority. Each person has his/her unique one (including children), and nobody can change it on himself/herself or give it to any other person.
So, this code and all personal information are connected to Tivusat official registration that can be obtained after paying the TV license.
I think it is the same for Freesat in the UK, right?

Leave it on one of the encrypted channels - RAI 1 2 & 3 are now fta & wont be carrying the encryption keys.
You may find some channels take longer to authorise than others - Ive found some of the Mediaset Tivusat channel can take a few extra minutes to authorise. If you dont use the card for a few weeks it will deactivate - if that happens just leave it on an encrypted channel for 10 minutes.

As @vaz23 asked for VAT number and address, I guess he has a non-activated card, and not an activated card that (just) needs a keys-update.
But he doesn't give information easily, so it is indeed just a guess.
With pre-activated Tivusat-cards that are available on the internet, I assume they are activated with the procedure I described before, as I have seen it described on several internet sites (though it was a few years ago that I looked into the matter).
I would guess that generating a codice fiscale on a website is not illegal.
Stating that it would be your codice, and affirming that with your signature, would indeed be rather unlawfull. I don't know the difference between unlawfull, illegal, and "totally illegal" though, as english is not my best language, and I don't know english or italian law.
At least this way you pay for watching Tivusat (by buying the card+CAM), and you are not stealing the signal. The stealing of the signal I would call (totally) illegal.
I don't know anything about Freesat.

Freesat (UK) is a completely free-to-air (FTA) broadcast platform, Conditional Access (CA) like Nagra or Irdeto is not used at all. Satellite receivers that have the official Freesat logo can use a special Electronic Programme Giude (EPG) that provides a 7 day guide for the services that are on the Freesat EPG on 28.2 degrees east. No card or registration needed, if you buy a Freesat receiver and hook to up to a satellite dish pointing at 28.2 degrees east as well as a television, it is very much "plug & play".

Maybe my explanation was not clear due to the fact that english is not my main language, too.
Codice Fiscale can not be generated, it must be assigned by the italian tax authorities.
Some little software or internet sites to generate these codes exists, I know that, but they have any legal value, it is only a sort of game. Only an official web site can be used to validate these procedures, and only a Codice Fiscale validated by the authority can be used for legal activities.
That said, to actvate/renew/replace Tivusat cards Codice Fiscale is required because the card is connected to a physical person that must pay the italian TV license, and only his/fer Codice Fiscale can be used. This is the law.
All Tivusat cards pre-activated available on ebay or other web site are ALWAYS connected to some italian citizen that made the online activation procedure, and the same person must be contacted for any possible renewal or card replacement.
If the card is active but not used for a while.... well, this is a different story. In this situation, inserting the card in the CAM (or in the Tivusat receiver, or in any other receiver able to send commands to the card) for some minutes on a Tivusat encrypted channel is enough.

So officially, people like @vaz23 need people living in Italy like you, @7mdish, to activate/validate their Tivusat card for them (as you can have 10 cards assigned to your codice fiscale, I just read)....
Nevertheless, I believe what I wrote is still true:
