Finally......my 5402 m1 arrived. Looking forward to testing it out in comparison to my m3. I noticed that the remotes are identical so I'll have to cover up the m3 which is my main receiver on c band. The m1 will take the place of my 5302 on ku band. It's probably in pal as I'll have to change that to ntsc.

Will be very interested to see how you find the two.

How do your TVs handle the PAL signals from these satellite boxes? My TVs these days can deal with NTSC but the colour is usually a bit off and definition is reduced. Occasionally I can also see jerkiness from missing frames due to the frame rate miss match. Back in the early analogue days before multi standard TVs I used to be able to view NTSC feeds from the US but it was in black and white with black bars top and bottom.

Frame just keeps running on my main tv's. I hook it up to my old one that I use outside when fine tuning and the screen is black and white until I can get it into ntsc. I have a bit of an issue, the menu has a lock on it and the usual 0000 isn't working. I'm trying to contact the seller.

Got a reply that this was his sons' receiver and he is away. The seller told me to try 2011 and that did the job, now to get it out of pal.

I think it's working with the original sw, 1.20 from May 7 2012.
