TM 5402 M3 Info Saving

Eh guys, hope all is well. I plan on upgrading fw to 1.42 but I'd like to save all my channel and sat info. I have never had to do this before and was wondering if one you fine peeps could tell me how.

A USB stick is all you need, just upload the channel data to the stick, flash the new firmware, them factory reset the box, then load the cahnnel data back to the box, all satellites, channels etc will be put back.
I just load the firmware and never reset the box, always works OK for me.

Thanks for the reply but I need to know, in the menu, how to save the info to my usb. I have never done this with a technomate receiver.

Main Menu scroll down to USB then across to USB Up/Down/File Manager, press OK

Then it opens this Menu



Press the INFO button on the remote, then you select the UPLOAD CHANNEL DATA the hit OK the info will upload to the USB stick, to download do the same but you will see the uploaded file when you select USB as in the first picture, press OK and you will be able to download the channel data by selecting NORMAL DB in the options it will give you.

This is what the uploaded channel data file will look like before you re-download it back to the box. it will be a CNDF file with the date, not very clear in this pic for some reason
