Tm 6900 he-aac

Dear all,

In Denmark...where lucky me is, TV signal was switched to digital. and new channels were also released. I relied on my good TM 6900 Super + to carry me thru this...but some channels have picture and no audio. after some painful research I figured its due to the fact that transmission of audio is HE-AAC and possibily unsupported by TM.

I wrote TM and waiting for an answer, but if there are any shortcuts pleas
oblige. ( aint buying anumore boxes :-) _

well, it looks I need another box to get some audio...so much for a combo.
TM support have not responded to my emails. Hopefully this will change when all Nordic countries start reporting the same issue.

Surprisingly enough, some vendors here in Denmark had same problem, but managed to fix with a new firmware over the launch weekend....which suggests that if TM wants to fix, they can.

I assume you've got the latest firmware for the box? I could be wrong (and probably am) but I thought there was a similar issue in France and they fixed it with an update. But like I said I'm probably wrong.

Incidentally, my box works fine with all Finnish (MPEG2) and Estonian (MPEG4) DVB-T transmissions but I don't think they are using HE-AAC audio encoding.

There was a similar problem in France, when some TV stations started using Dolby Plus audio. Technomate didn't reply to my emails, but they did fix the problem with a software update. It took a few weeks, though.

It was well worth the wait ! Technomate have released a new S/W which solved the issue...what a bunch of pros ! :-)
