Top up TV cam on Technomate?

Technomate 5400 CI+ USB, 70CM Motorised dish, XCAM, Infinity USB Pheonix
Panasonic Freeview
My Location
Dorset England
I would be grateful for any help on this matter.

Would a second hand top up tv cam and card work in my Technomate 2CI receiver to access the additional (Freeview) subscription channels via satellite, or would I need to buy yet another box?
 
No, the top up tv cam is for terrestrial freeview. I note from your sig, "Panasonic Freeview" - does this mean a Panasonic TV with Freeview? In which case case, does the TV have a cam slot in which the top up tv cam would go? If that's what you're after, of course!

Unfortunately neither my tv or freeview box has a card/cam slot.
 
hi guys.. am also looking to set up my purchsed tv complete with ci slot. is there a cam which gives "Free" top up tv..
 
Not without a 'paid for' card fot it. Top up has not been compromised as yet.

I'm sure that a TUTV Cam can be used as an Aston Cam as they both decrypt SECA based channels with a valid sub. card... :confused:

I know the reverse is true as I tried an Aston cam in my mum's IDTV and it worked the TUTV card perfectly (and actually, the picture looked a bit clearer oddly with the Aston!!!)... :)
 
can you be a bit more precise.. does it have a feature that allows veiwing for experimental purpose.. Quality etc ha ha
 
No, it is a standard Conditional Access Module, it requires a valid subscription card.
