Good Afternoon everybody,

Totally new to this site, and have been googling several like-wise sites, but I've decided on this website/forum, as it seems very indepth.

Anyway I'm not sure if this is in the right section or not, Moderators please move if not.

I'm in the process of building a new house, I'm hoping to install HDfresat+ in two rooms, and 4 SD boxes in separate rooms also anologue/DTT in each.. What systems would you suggest between Quad/Octo LND to multiswitch boxes/loft boxes. Etc. Now I'm totally a novice, so please not too much jargon.

Regards
Wexford

Welcome to the forum wexford.

Based on the information supplied, a multi-switch system would be the neatest and simplest solution.

Cable in two feeds to all rooms (future proofing) and run everything back to a central point (if cable lengths are fairly standard). Install a dish with quattro LNb and an aerial feed into a multi-switch. Terminate sub feeds to the switch and fit tri or quad outlet plates in proposed rooms.

Sounds like it'll be a nice setup :)

Great Thanks for the prompt reply..

Again pardon my lack of knowledge, but what advantages of having a multiswitch over direct cabling to LND?

You mention anologue/DTT in addition so can be fed directly into the switch, although you can use diplexers if you wish.
