Hi everyone,
I've only just signed up to the site after what seems a relentless search for satelite answers.
I have read through many posts and looked online and have to be honest it's a tad too technical for me as a noob.

I had a new ariel installed last year so I can now get freeview. Was a bonus honest :)
After talking to the same installer again he is recommending he installs a hotbird. But to be fair he hasn't given me much info.
I was more than happy with his ariel install last year, but after reading post here and research I'm begenning to wonder if he is just after being paid.

Can anyone tell me the cheapest options for a first of instalation ie, box dish and card.

Id be well gratefull for any links too as like I said I really haven't got a clue

Simon

its a very vast subject as so many receivers depends on your capabilitys and what you want to view have a realy good read .

I'd just like to watch the footy mate. I'd say I'm on a 400 budget... can it be done?

cheapest option Technomate 500 super linux £70 ebay 90cm dish approx £50 lnb £10 motor £30-£35 brackets £15 and depending where you live a fitter will charge you £approx £100-£150 fitting and aligning your dish be carefull on fitters as there are some right tits going around get some one that you know where to go back to so if its not aluigned properly you have some where to go back to, thjen flash your box easy enough on the forums will help you, then you will have to either share a official card with some one or go on a paid server cheaply enough that will get you all the football you ever need and other sports plus smu plus films.
