Transferring Music

Humax foxsat hdr 500gb
My Location
West Sussex
Hi I'm new to this forum and I wonder if one of you can help. I've transferred my music from my pc, via Windows media player and I want to put it on the hard drive of my Foxsat HDR. I am using a usb flash dive and it is recognised, but it will not let me transfer the files onto the hard drive. Am I missing something or is this not possible. Hope this makes sense. Any replies in words of one syllable as I'm 61 in a couple of weeks

Not used my Foxsat/USB facility for anything other than transferring recording to a stick so I can watch the odd thing in bed after lights out.

But I imagine the issue might be one of file format.

What format are your Music files in? MP3? Something else?

Certainly for TV recording files, the Humax uses the .ts format.

Not sure what it expects for Music, Pics etc.


Edit: I believe there is also a limit (4GB ??) to the size of USB file the Humax can support.
 
Just established that Music files must be MP3.

Not sure if you can play them direct from the USB stick or if you have to copy them to the HDD.
