on 55w I can get 82% on transponder 4111 h 1850, usimg tm5402
smaller figures are returned on other horizantal
a LOT smaller figures are returned on vertical

If I peak a vertical transponder,(by moving dish slightly) I then lose some horizantal, and 4111 drops to 70%, but gain on vertical

is this normal, or could
1) lnb be wrongly positioned?
2) lnb faulty?
3) something else?

Don't worry too much just yet WAG, i noticed something very similar today on 55 West.
I'll re-check it out tomorrow.
Ideally need to see some pics of the lnb / lnbf and how you have it all mounted on the changer as it can make diagnostics so much easier for everybody else. Also what make of lnb / lnbf are you using.

...Re-checked 4111 H @55.5 West this morning on my TM5502. Not the best time of the year for me for either 53, 55 or 58 West due to that Cherry blossom tree that is 18mtrs across the road and is now in full wet foliage . Looked very pretty when the blossom was out on it last week but does play havoc with the signals. Looking at Autumn time now before i get better sigs.
My TM5502 gives me 98% "Strength" & 54% "Quality" readings at the moment...... can you clarify what your % readings were related to--- quality or strength ?

55 West...Cherry Blosson tree obstruction. reduced...webp

Hi -

I,m not seeing any difference in signal strength/quality between H or V by moving my dish slightly ....

are you able to see 58 west ... are you getting the same odd results from there also ?

i,m using a Channel master 1.8 offset with C band linear l.n.b. fixed right of centre .. when facing the dish

regards.

yesterday, received 102 channels, but this was the dish slightly adjusted many times
Most with one scan was 61
