hi tring tv decided to screen a message about piracy instead of the usual 3pm games. while im not surprised about this im just posting to see if any one has information. maybe some one who can read Albanian can read the message on tring website. regards moose

Important notice against piracy:

In defense of the interests of our clients, Tring Digital LIVE event interrupts the transmission of "Premier League" of 15:00 pm today 21.01.2012, in protest against all pirate cable operators and illegal servers.

Following this initiative, we invite competent authorities to take appropriate legal measures to protect all our consumers.

All other matches will be shown normally.

So to protest against piracy they're going to piss off their paying customers by not showing what they paid for?! Glad I never went near them.

one two round here have gone for it. i wonder who will be next. but i suppose the PL will wait until every one who has tring has change to something different. they will then cut it to cause max grief to pubs. my money is on nova to go next. they seem to be picking on the tin pot countries first ie Latvia, Lithuanian, Portugal and now Albania. No offence but the next in line of tin pot countries is Greece. prob going to get some flak now

Portugal? Just heard the English is gone on the 3pm game

The problem with Tring is the same as with DigitalAlb a few years ago - they cant or wont stop the cards leaking into the UK, and the cards are very cheap.

Wtf is a "tin pot country"? Sounds offensive...

(the question is rhetorical, I know what it means, and it is surely offensive...)

The college I studied at was rather close to three mines in Cornwall.

Italy is also going through some austerity measures.

So, what's the point, do economic problems and austerity measures make a country a "tin-pot", unimportant, useless maybe?

tin pot just means you don't have much money or financial clout. unfortunately greece comes into that group of countries. im sorry for causing offence by the way i put it. having said that i also feel sorry for the german train driver working up to the age of 70 so he can keep the greek train driver who retired at 55.

Well, if this is the way you meant it, you are right, Greece and other countries are in grave economic situation. I just had another meaning of "tin pot" in mind...

Generally used for something, cheap, inferior...

i also feel sorry for the german train driver working up to the age of 70 so he can keep the greek train driver who retired

Now we come to media propaganda and stereotypes. Anyways...

Chaps, if this Off Topic debate continues I intend to remove all the Posts concerned ........... I appreciate it all started from an unfortunate turn of phrase, considering we have a multi-national Membership, but let's not make a mountain out of it.

Yes, you are right, sorry for taking the topic astray...

once again sorry. i have spoken to suppliers and they seem to think 3pm football will return this week.
