:-NoooCan someone please help me. I have been trying for days to lock out a signal on astra 28.2, i keep locking out on hotbird 13 and astra 1(19 degrees i believe). I know i need to take the dish further to the left from the other two but i just cant find it. My meter (trimax sm2500) is saying that i have a lock on Astra 28 but when i check my meter to see if i have any channels i am only rcvg what i believe are channels from astra 1. My transponder is locked on 0001a. My signal and quality are reading aroubd 80% on both strength and quality. I am using a 3 meter dish with a quad lnb.Any suggestions would be much apreciated.

0001a is definitely Astra 1 at 19.2E.

So you need to move the Dish about 9 degrees further to the East and reduce the Elevation by a couple of degrees or three.

Er,in Cyprus you move East then UP a few degrees :)
So if you are now on Astra 19.2e and move left and up a bit you will find signal on 23e then left and up a very strong signal from Arabsat at 26e then left a bit and up a bit you will find 28.2e
I don't know your meter if it can search a particular frequency or have a spectrum analyser built in.

Well as you were Posting, I was checking Longitude for Cyprus ....... 33 East!

Who'd have thought it.

Each day we learn just a little more :)

Well a rough longitude of around 24°, Athens for example, would give you 19e and 28e at around the same Elevation. Lesson over :-rofl2

Thank you all will give that a try tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good festive season.

Thanks again

Not a very good one to look for as that is very weak during the day. The strongest is 12.110, H ,27.5 ,2/3. And to tune 2D for BBC/ITV look for 10.714 H 22000 5/6. Where in CY are you ?
