trying to improve myself need advice on f lines

My Satellite Setup
just new , i have a 1meter dish, connected to open media twin unit (cable/sat)and this moment am a ladder fiend ,my wife sends meals up to me via pigeon but im loving the learning curve

ok yous guys have answered and helped me with all the answers lol and everything is running fine another quick question my mate wants to see what all th fuss is about and asked if i could give him a line to try out he only wants it for a day and i said i wasnt sure how i go about it but have been reading on here and think this is how to do it
F: username password 2 1 1 { } { } { 19:00-23:5 0 } or do i have to do it like this ?
F: username password 2 1 1 { } { } { 12:00-17:00, 19:00-20:00 }?
the reason i thot it mite be the first one is hes not in till 1800 and thot it would be easier
am i right ?
do you think im getting the hang of this now
 
Right mate, firstly, have you seen the Excel spreadsheet tutorial I wrote ? Its in the Dreambox Tutorial section. This explains the basics of F and C lines.

Secondly, is it really neccesary that you include time limited access for a mate of yours ?

A simple F line to give your mate access to your card would be...
Code: 
F: YourMate Password 1 0 0 { 0:0:1 }

Thats it, nothing else needed.
You would give your mate this corresponding C line for him to add to his config.

Code: 
C: Your-IP-Addess 12000 YourMate Password no

Again thats it nothing else needed.

There are many threads in here about basic config, have a look with the forum search function, but definatley checkout the Excel sheet I made.

yea he wanted a time limit not me he plays around so often and i sometime think hes not playing with a full deck :-rofl2 i just thot id paly around with the whole thing to try and improve thats all
