I live in Kuwait and I have a dish pointing towards hotbird. I am trying to pick it up. On my receiver it says hotbird, but when it scans it keeps picking up Nilesat channel which doesn't make much sense. The receiver is called ANT NT-700.

That would suggest that your dish is pointed at Nilesat and if it is, you need to move your dish Eastwards by 20 degrees and upwards.
