Turksat 3A to launch in April

Turksat says that its latest satellite, Turksat 3A will launch in April.

The satellite was ordered from prime contractor Alcatel Alenia in 2006 and is being supplied under a “build and launch” contract. The satellite is designed to replace Turksat 1C at 42 deg East, which was launched July 1996 with 16 transponders. The new satellite has 24 Ku-Band transponders, and will be the fifth Alcatel-supplied craft.

Arianespace is scheduled to launch the satellite.

Ive got the coverage map at home - from memory, its similar to 1C
 
I added coverage maps of Turksat 3A which expecting lunch on April 2008.

Expected launch date is May. It will be launched from Kourou by Ariane 5 vehicle. Satellite has 2 downlink beams and 3 for uplink.
 
can anyone tell me from middle east thru which coordinates we have to divert our antennas to catch the satellite?

hello.i think launching time of turksat 3a has changed.it will launch on 12 june 2008 21:54 UTC. is it right or not ?

Launch was scrubbed due to software problems on the launcher.
 
According to Flysat, there should be a PAL carrier on the west beam on 31E (12.625H). Can't see one ATM though.

Apparently Turksat 3A will test at 31E for about 3 weeks. Turksat are now investigating building 4A & 5A for launch around 2011 and 2013
 
looking forwad,how strong the dgital signal of the new satelilte will be:)

when its much more high focused to turkey region,then maybe,my 2,20 m dish is not enough,we will see:)
